Sexual Assault Counsellor (Part-time, Full-time or Casual Afterhours)

Laurel House is seeking experienced and committed counselling professionals to become valued members of the Laurel House sexual assault counselling team. Part-time (minimum of 0.5FTE) or full-time positions considered for the right candidate.  Casual after-hours work is also available.

ABOUT LAUREL HOUSE

Laurel House provides a range of trauma-informed, evidence based, therapeutic services to victim-survivors of sexual assault.

We also develop and deliver a broad range of programs to adults, young people and children including the provision of therapeutic face-to-face counselling at our centres located at Launceston, Devonport, and Burnie and through outreach locations across North and Northwest Tasmania. Our team also provides community education programs focused on the prevention of sexual harm and on supporting parents, carers and service providers to better respond to disclosures of sexual violence.

HOW TO APPLY

To apply for the position of Sexual Assault Support Counsellor, you will need to submit:

  2. A short statement – addressing each of the selection criteria (contained on the PD), no more than four pages in total
  3. Your current Curriculum Vitae or Resume
  4. Names and contact details of two referees who have a thorough knowledge of your work performance. These will be contacted only following your expressed permission.
