Youth Advisory Council
Laurel House Expert Advisory Council for Youth (LEAPY) is our youth council for north and north west based young people aged 13 to 18 who have experience of sexual violence.
LEAPY aims to engage children and young people with lived experience of sexual violence to provide feedback and establish ideas about how Laurel House, and the broader community can help stop sexual violence.
LEAPY members engage in a safe, accessible and sustainable manner through use of best practice safeguarding, trauma and engagement practices.
Laurel House developed LEAPY as part of its recognition of the importance of child and youth voices on the subject of sexual violence.
Membership
From time to time, Laurel House calls for Expressions of Interest for new LEAPY members. You are welcome to complete an application at any time.
