Disability Workforce Toolkit

Access educational resources, videos, fact sheets and more tools specifically developed for clinicians and support workers working with people with disabilities.

About the project

This online toolkit aims to create awareness and educate clinicians, disability support workers, carers and supporters of people with disability to better support people with a disability who have experienced sexual assault and to respond to disclosures of sexual assault in a trauma-informed way.

How disclosures are responded to can make a real difference to the experience of survivors, their families and carers. It is important for them to know that help is available.

This project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS) to develop and deliver educational resources and training across Tasmania.

About Laurel House

Let's start a conversation

Laurel House’s Conversation Cards are a great tool for starting difficult conversations about consent and sex. This deck of colourful cards were designed in consultation with people with disability, disability workers and carers/supporters of people with disability.
