“Teaching young children about gender equality and respectful relationships is important to instil the values of consent, respect and equality that help prevent family and sexual violence in the future. It’s really important we start the conversation if we want the community response to look different”
— Kathryn Fordyce, CEO of Laurel House

“Theatre and music are a really fun and safe and powerful way of delivering messages that are easily remembered,” said Bindy Stephens, Facilitator, Healthy Habits.

“Grown-ups and children can learn alongside each other while they’re having fun,” she said.

The project is funded through White Ribbon and made possible through a collaboration between Laurel House, Playgroup Tasmania and Women’s Legal Service Tasmania.

The program is appropriate for children aged from birth to 5 years. If you would like to arrange a performance for your community or other group, please contact Laurel House at admin@laurelhouse.org.au
