Laurel House chosen for ReGEN project

Laurel House is one of 12 organisations chosen to partner with La Trobe University’s ReGEN research group.

Laurel House is one of 12 organisations chosen to partner with La Trobe University’s ReGEN Research Group.

ReGEN will partner with the organisations from across Australia to evaluate the effectiveness of sexual violence intervention programs.

The 'Partners in Prevention of Sexual Violence' project aims to learn more about what works to prevent sexual violence.

The successful organisations include our fellow Tasmanians, SASS, as well as Brisbane Youth Service, Centre Against Sexual Assault Central Victoria, Centre Against Violence, Sexual Health Quarters, Learning Consent, Prosper (Project Australia), The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre, Transforming Justice Australia, Western Region Centre Against Sexual Assault (WestCASA) and Women's Health in the South East.

This project will help determine what elements are most effective at preventing sexual violence and address the drivers and reinforcing factors of sexual violence.

The ReGEN research group aims to build a body of evidence for effective interventions to prevent and reduce the effects of gender-based violence.
